doTERRA’s Healing Hands Foundation and Global Philanthropy
Corporate philanthropy often operates at arm’s length from business activities. doTERRA has taken a different approach by integrating charitable work directly into its sourcing model. The doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation, established in 2010 and granted 501(c)(3) status, channels resources to communities that supply the company’s raw materials.
The foundation supports initiatives across multiple categories: healthcare access, education, clean water infrastructure, and anti-trafficking efforts. Projects have included partnerships with Save the Children, support for the Cerrito Agricultural School in Paraguay, and the launch of the 25 Collective, a monthly giving program for Wellness Advocates.
Financial contributions reached $2.3 million for Co-Impact Sourcing projects in 2021 alone. The foundation raises funds through monthly contributions, one-time donations, and proceeds from select product sales.
Holiday campaigns illustrate how product purchases translate to charitable impact. During the 2025 season, doTERRA reintroduced Together Touch, an essential oil blend first released at Convention 2019. Each purchase directs $20 to Healing Hands programs that support children and families worldwide.
Misty Bond, doTERRA’s vice president of corporate relations and philanthropy, commented on the offering: “We are thrilled to offer this beautiful blend once again. Knowing that each bottle creates a lasting impact makes its return even more meaningful.”
Charitable activities extend to company events. At Global Convention 2025, more than 850 attendees assembled nearly 20,000 hygiene relief kits intended for crisis distribution. A separate fundraising effort during the event generated over $20,000 for Rising Star Outreach, which doTERRA matched.
The convention also served as a platform for new product announcements. Four offerings debuted, including the RevitaZen+ supplement complex and a USDA Organic Castor Oil.
Environmental projects complement the humanitarian portfolio. doTERRA’s Kealakekua Mountain Reserve in Hawaii has become a major reforestation site, with more than 611,000 native trees planted and a goal of one million by 2030.
Recognition from industry observers has accompanied these efforts. Verify Markets cited doTERRA’s sustainability practices among the factors supporting its Market Leadership Award for 2025.
